Quite simply, the formula is to take your monthly mail list (rarely are they a perfectly round number of say, 500). For example if your list is 292 households, and you have us mail ten times per year, 292 x 10 = 2920 total mailers. That puts you at just 33? each or 292 x.33 = $96.36 to print. Add .295 each for us to mail anywhere in the United States and you have an idea of your total direct mail marketing budget. Agents doing large mailers upwards of 1,000 pieces or more will save up to 50% for quantity discounts.
